Dan Marshall : Mixing Engineer

SINGER-SONGWRITER COMPETITION 2019

*Up to £1,000 up for grabs!!

Okay, so HERE'S THE DEAL...

I will produce a track for you, record & mix it... FOR FREE!!

Sound like an INSANE DEAL? That's because it is!

So, what's the catch...?

- Only entries via the form online will be considered.

- In addition to the completed form, please attach and email a recording of the song you wish to submit to enquiries@inphasestudio.com (This can be as basic as a phone recording of you singing along with your guitar/piano, as long as it is clear to hear and understand.)

- Your song should be clearly labelled, i.e. “FIRSTNAME LASTNAME, SONG TITLE.mp3”

- You are welcome to submit multiple songs but only one will be chosen for this project.

- I will endeavour to use as many professional musicians on the track as needed but this may take time to book them in. They are very good, and because of that, they are very busy.

- While I will look to take creative control, it is a collaborative effort with any ideas welcomed, all of which will be considered - It is your song after all.

- The song entry must not have been previously produced or released for commercial use (e.g. Part of a campaign, radio play, licenced for sync etc).

- All recording and mixing will be done at 'In Phase Studio', unless agreed or arranged otherwise (For example, a guitarist can't make it in but can record remotely.)

- Genres limited to Acoustic, Pop, Rock & Country.

- Any current projects yet to be completed and/or any paid work takes priority and must be finished first before starting or continuing with this project.

- I ask that I have permission for any material to be used for promotional use, in advertising 'In Phase Studio'.

Once the winning project has been chosen, I will be in touch to arrange a pre-production session. We can use this time to get to know each other, talk music, tell me more about your song and 'plan' the recording.

Once we have finished the recording and production stage, I will move on to mixing. I will work on this until I am happy with it and will then pass it on to you or invite you back in to listen.

The mixing phase will include two, short sessions for any minor revisions, if need be.

The ONLY thing I expect you to pay for is mastering. This gets outsourced and the engineer typically charges $85 per track which works out at approximately £65.
